Biography
Michael Kemeny has quite possibly conducted more personal injury examinations for discovery than any other lawyer in Ontario since joining The Morris Law Group in 1996. His main focus is to take clients through the details of and the consequences of their accident. Michael is the expert when it comes to client discoveries.
Although the discovery process is time consuming, Michael works tirelessly to uncover any missing details that could be key to presenting a client’s case properly.
This, coupled with Michael’s ability to effectively prepare a client, makes him a unique asset to The Morris Law Group. Having an expert in discoveries also frees up the firm’s other lawyers to concentrate fully on the ongoing management of the client’s file.
For more than 20 years, Michael was a sole practitioner in his own practice. Looking for a change, Michael decided to apply his years of general law legal experience and expertise to the personal injury practice at one of the most reputable firms in the area, The Morris Law Group.
He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1974. He received his law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1972 and his Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University in 1969.
Michael is a member of the Hamilton Law Association and Hamilton Medical-Legal Society and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
Although he refers to himself as the “slowest longdistance runner in Hamilton”, Michael regularly participates in several races each year including the Hamilton Around the Bay Race.
